Jade spinning wheel

Jade Spinning Wheel Thickness: 1.3 cm, D: 3.2 cm Unearthed from Fuquanshan site It is in shape of a spinning wheel with a pierced hole in the center, carved from antigorite, the color of which has turned into cream white. Pottery spinning wheels have been found from Majiabang culture of 6000 years ago, and stone pieces from Songze culture of 5000 years ago. This jade piece from Fuquanshan, however, was found together with jade Yue axe and awl-shaped objects, which indicates that it was not a real spinning tool but a symbol of wealth.
